You Should Know Me

Want some basic stats? I’m 34 years old, I have 6 children who are awesomely wonderful (most of the time) and I’m pursuing my dream of being a published author.

Want some more extensive stats? Ok, ok.

Well, this is me:

As you can see, I like to dye my hair. And pink has been my thing for a long time:

Except my hair is just normal brown now. Although I admit that I’m still not normal:

I like to play dress-up and I have a lot of fun outfits, wigs and accessories specifically for that purpose. See?

That’s not all there is to me, of course.

I like to laugh, hate to cry, especially in front of people. I sing karaoke, but I don’t dance unless I’m really drunk. I’m not a lesbian, but I admit I sometimes like to kiss girls. It’s fun and different.  I love to bake but I hate to cook. I’m pretty spoiled and kind of expect things that way. I’d prefer living in my little 3 bedroom apartment over a huge mansion because it means my family is all close by and we stay connected. Plus, it’s much easier to clean a smaller place. My favorite food is cheese, with potatoes coming in a close second. Mix them together and I’m in heaven. I want to do and experience everything there is in life, even a lot of the bad things. I feel my best when I’m creating something, although I tend to have a bit of depression when I complete a project. I always expect to feel satisfied and happy when I finish, but instead I feel empty inside so I tend to immediately get started on the next project to get rid of that feeling. I’ve loved photography since I got my first camera for my 15th birthday, but I’ve only taken a couple of classes recently at the college. I spent most of my life saying I couldn’t draw and refusing to even try. In fact, in my art class when my professor would give us an assignment, I would do everything I could to avoid drawing. I’d do mine with photography, or painting, or…one of them I did with cloth and a hot glue gun. After that class was over, I decided to try to draw. I sucked. But when I decide to do something I become determined and I won’t stop until I’m happy with the results. I’ve gotten a lot better at drawing over the years but I’m still not satisfied so I’ll continue to practice until I am. You should really go check out my drawings page to see some of my favorites, and be sure to leave me a comment, especially if you want to praise me. I always like hearing how good I am at drawing, since I don’t truly believe it myself.

So I guess that’s me in a nutshell……although I really think I’m too big to fit in a nutshell.

Oh, also, I have an abnormal addiction to Mountain Dew:

I think they should send me a couple of free cases of Mountain Dew for that endorsement. Don’t you? Oh, and FYI, I prefer my Mountain Dew in bottles. You know, in case anybody out there works for the Pepsi corporation and wants to sponsor me.
